Job Description
This is a remote position.
Zenith Energy have an opportunity for 4 x Production technologists to support our client, a major operator, with their commissioning activities and ready for start up of their asset.
The position(s), working in shifts, will provide 24/7 on call support during start-up, including some preparation prior to RFSU for understanding of the contingency plans that are in place.
The role is working from home/Remote or office based (no offshore component) supporting commissioning (RFSU) which will have a duration of 4 - 6 months
Project scope is expected to commence Q3 2023 but is dependent on ready for start-up (RFSU) timing.
- 12 Hour Days
- Working 1 week on, one week off
Further role responsibilities:
Pre-planning for commissioning
- Preparation of A-annulus bleed procedures & XT valve LOT procedures
- Minor updates required only as base procedures have been drafted
- Input to Operating procedures that have an impact on the well
- e.g. Procedure to open SCSSV
- Preparation of pre-operate phase assurance plan deliverables
- Monitoring of well pressures and temperatures post cold commissioning once gauges are hooked up and remote monitoring from the office established.
- Support Operations Readiness during RFSU planning period.
- Input to OTPs (well start-up/well commissioning procedures)
- Attend HAZOPs
- Close out any relevant HAZOP Actions.
- Input to Operating procedures
- Contingency planning for events raised during HAZOPs/OTP discussion
- Prepare and provide training for operators (with respect to well operability and well integrity)
- Develop well commissioning acceptance criteria including how these will be monitored/assured (including getting these into the start-up plan)
- Raise MOCs (management of change documentation) for well integrity as required
- Ops Readiness reviews (gate reviews and peer reviews for readiness for start-up)
- Inform wells TIC/TA of any integrity issue that arise as appropriate (including leading risk assessment and providing recommendations on forward plan).
- Any other scope related to well integrity/well operability as required by Operations Readiness team.

- Preparation of D&C ‘end of well commissioning’ report
- Preparation of documentation for handover of care from wells ops readiness to well systems team (summary of any well integrity of well operability issues that are outstanding for the Operate phase)
- Involvement in post commissioning after action review/lessons learnt
Requirements
- Production Technologist Experience with an operator during RFSU
- Experience of well surveillance for management and operation of wells
- Ability to monitor performance and understand well operating parameters
- Use of excel
- Use of Production database (Babelfish/P2)
- Ability to identify and assess integrity issues from an approved baseline
- Understanding of production and technical integrity limits and monitoring requirements for a well and why they are necessary
- Ability to assess the consequences if these limits are breached.
- Capable of updating and running well performance/integrity models such as Prosper/Gap, NETool and Wellcat.
- Ability to create the models is not required as these will be handed over “as-built” and for use from D&C engineers.
