Zenith was contracted by Canada-based operator Central European Petroleum to plan and manage drilling of their first offshore well. The well was an appraisal of the Wolin concession, offshore Poland. The project presented several challenges, including the proximity to coastline and an environmentally protected area, a new regulatory regime to work with, zero discharge, and increased environmental scrutiny.

Objectives
- Perform all environmental and regulatory permitting for appraisal well project
- Deliver project without any environmental incident and ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations
Method
- Performed detailed regulatory review
- Utilised Zenith HSE specialist with prior Polish regulatory and remote operations experience
- Performed scoping visit at project kick-off to establish in-country facilities and regulatory understanding
- Contracted Polish HSE advisors to assist in management of base facilities
